'elfie' is a family nickname bequeathed to me by my favourite aunt, that may or may not have something to do with house elves.
I write - a lot. And up until now my main audience has been the readers of the student newspaper, my long-suffering boyfriend and my parents, so here I write to more of you, I hope. Writing, especially opinion blogging, is fabulously therapeutic; this blog could easily have been named Pressure Valve, after the file saved on my desktop for moments of panic when I need to vent. But there are plenty of ranty blogs, Twitterers and Facebookers out there, so instead, there is now elfie.
